Ace Hood

 Antoine Franklin Mc Colister (born May 11, 1988), better known by the stage name Ace Hood, is an American rapper from America. He was born in Port St. Lucie, Florida and raised in Deerfield Beach, Florida. In 2008, he was signed to DJ Khaled's We the Best Music Group label. This collaboration was a partnership with Def Jam Recordings. The artist has released four studio albums, the most popular is Blood, Sweat & Tears (2011) and Trials & Tribulations (2013). The top charting singles of his were "Hustle Hard" and "Bugatti" with Future and Rick Ross. Mc Colister announced in the year 2016 that he was departing We the Best Music. He is now working as an independent musician. Ace Hood was born in Port St. Lucie in Florida and was raised in Deerfield Beach by his mother (of Haitian descent) and his younger cousin Ty Barton Jr., part of Broward County. Deerfield Beach High school was his high school graduation. After sustaining a foot injury in the 10th grade and when he realized he would not be able to go pro, the Broward County native began to seriously think about rapping as his career. Hood was a part of the local group Dollaz & Dealz and released one single entitled "M.O.E." in 2006. in 2006. He started to market himself via open mic events and showcases for talent in the area. Hood was introduced to DJ Khaled at the WEDR 99 Jamz radio station in 2007. After Hood presented Khaled an autobiography and his demo tape, Khaled asked Hood to do a freestyle over the instrumental of his song "I'm Hood." Hood" from his album We the Best, and later signed Hood to his We the Best Music Group label. Hood along with other artists, was included in XXL magazine's Freshmen from '09.
