Randy Gene Moss

Randy Gene Moss, born 13 February 1977, is an ex-American footballer. He was an American footballer who played for 14 years within the National Football League (NFL), including with the Minnesota Vikings and Oakland Raiders and the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans. He is widely acknowledged as Jerry Rice's best wide receiver. He holds the NFL single season touchdown reception record of 23 in 2007. the NFL rookie single-season touchdown reception record (17 in 1998) and is ranked second on the all-time NFL regular season touchdown receptions with 156. Moss is famous for his ability to secure contested catches. The word "mossed" is a term that has now entered the football vocabulary, became widely used due to the fact that he was a successful. After his career in football and broadcasting, he began working as a studio analyst with ESPN for their Sunday NFL Countdown program and Monday Night Countdown. Moss was born at Rand, West Virginia. He attended DuPont High School, one of two schools that were later merged into Riverside High School, where the student excelled in football basketball as well as baseball and track. Randy was also a part of the school’s debate team. On the field of football, Moss led the DuPont Panthers to back-to-back state championships in 1993 and 1992. Moss was an outstanding wide receiver. He also was a free safety, and returned punts. He was awarded the Kennedy Award for West Virginia Football Player of the Year in 1994. Parade magazine named him to their annual All-American high school football team in 1995. in 2009, they named him among the top 50 football players in high school of all time.
