Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy (19 January 1986) was an English model of catwalk and lingerie, and television model and TV. In 2006, she was runner-up in the British Next Top Model cycle 2. She also took home the series 11 and 12 of Strictly Come Dancing 2013. Since 2015, she's been Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the second-oldest of the four kids born to Karen (nee Sullivan), and Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was born in Woolton near Liverpool and was a student at St Mary's Primary school and St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy formed the girl group Genie Queen, which was managed by Andy McCluskey (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark). Clancy was selected as one of the 13 finalist for the second season of Living Television's Britain's Next Top Model. She was competing for a 10 week modeling contract. Clancy along with co-contestant Lianna fowler were able to make it to the the final runway show, and they were eventually named the runners-up. Clancy has appeared as a model in a variety of newspapers and magazines since his appearance on Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was the model for the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike for Arena magazine's May 2007 cover was photographed by Clancy. Clancy was selected for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue. Clancy was praised for her athletic background and was photographed wearing only body paint to the publication. Yu Tsai captured the image. Clancy was wearing an England shirt in Umbro's campaign in 2010 and also other wives and girlfriends of players from winning nations. Clancy walked in Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011 line. In March of 2011, Clancy was featured on Elite Model Management: New York division's website. In July 2013, Clancy appeared as part of London designer Hasan Hejazi's campaign. She was included in a fashion-related editorial by Absynth Photographic as in a fashion documentary created by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on August's UK Esquire cover, photographed by Solve Sundsbo. Clancy was also included in the December 2013 LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar with Suki Wasserhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was on the cover British Marie Claire, July 2014, as well as British Elle March 2015. Abbey Clancy, along with her daughter Sophia Crouch, collaborated in October of 2019 with Lipsy the London-based fashion brand to launch their AW'19 line. The collection officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
